Gooru Navigator: Instructor
Gooru Navigator: Instructor is an interactive and user-friendly GPS for learning. It guides students along a personalized path of resources, real-time re-routes, and support. This app is currently available for standards-aligned math courses for grades 2 through high school, with plans to support Science and English Language Arts and courses in the Indian curriculum and languages in the near future.
The app begins by assessing a learner's existing knowledge and constructs a personalized learning journey to guide them to their unique destination. Users can sign in and take a short diagnostic to show their current understanding of the material. The app marks each mastered standard or concept in blue, creating a Skyline that represents the user's current learning location.
Once users have determined their starting point, they can choose their destination, setting their Learning Hi-line. The Hi-line appears as a green goal or target on top of the Skyline. As users master more content, their Skyline moves closer to their Hi-line.
Gooru Navigator creates a personalized route based on the knowledge and skills gap between the user's Skyline and Hi-line. This route includes a variety of resources and activities designed to help users reach their learning destination.
The app acknowledges that learning is not always a straight path and offers support when users struggle. It suggests re-routes with additional activities and resources to get users back on track. As users complete concepts and lessons, their Skyline rises until they achieve their goals.
